Miami Curves Week - 2018 Charity Red Swimsuit Fashion Show 2018

Updated: Jul 17, 2018

Miami Curves Week ended with a bang!

The 2nd Annual Charity Red Swimsuit Fashion show was bigger and better. The models were all gorgeous and the swimsuits were beautiful! It truly made me rethink what I wear to the beach.

The women that hit the runways were just the women we need to see more of. This event celebrates a group that is all too often forgotten or dismissed within the fashion world. I came out of this fashion show much more confident to rock a swimsuit. It important that no matter what we look like we feel empowered and make it visible. Check out the video below for the amazing fashions that hit the runway.

This event raises awareness of heart disease, which is why the audience is encouraged to wear red and all the designs are red. (red is my favorite color!) While we must all be body positive we must also be conscious to our health. Heart disease affect everyone no matter their size

The host (and a model) of the evening was Stayc Sharrow Simpson. She was also a model last year and an incredible person. Last night she shared an incredible story about herself that truly moved the room. Her story of surviving a terminal cancer diagnosis, in a positive matter really helps us see her for her she is, a caring individual and someone who knows how to rock the runway. It was beautiful to see her glowing and strutting her stuff!

After the fashion show there was mingling, picture taking, and great conversation. It was amazing for me to meet a couple of people I follow on Instagram and meet those who follow me! What an honor!

It was an honor to be able to take part of an event that I see is growing. Make sure you keep an eye out and attend next year!
